AirTran Airways ramps up flight schedule again in the US

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., announced today the launch of several new flights in the US.

Daily nonstop flights have been added today between Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virginia and Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Florida. Additionally, nonstop flights between Flint, Michigan’s Bishop International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will begin on November 4, 2009.

The carrier also announced the resumption of daily nonstop flights between Flint and Tampa (flown once weekly during the summer) beginning on October 6, 2009 and the resumption of daily flights to Ft. Myers beginning November 4, 2009.

And finally, nonstop flights from Lehigh Valley International Airport in Allentown, Pennsylvania to both Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Florida and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida were launched today. The carrier will fly to Orlando four days per week and to Fort Lauderdale three days per week.

“AirTran Airways continues to bring low fares to overpriced and underserved markets across the country,” said John Kirby, senior director of strategic planning for AirTran Airways.
