0a1a-105

Milan Bergamo Airport, Italy’s third largest airport by annual passenger numbers, is once again adding new links and offering further enhancements to its route network throughout the summer season. In addition to seven new services – two of which fill white spots on the airport’s route map – the Italian gateway will be resuming a notable 19 seasonal operations in the coming weeks.

From this month until late October, Milan Bergamo will be adding more than 50 new flights per week to the popular leisure resorts of Heraklion, Ibiza, Karpathos, Olbia and Sal, as well as the airport’s latest destinations of Dubrovnik and Split. With the return of seasonal services to highly-desired tourist points including the Balearic Islands, Greece, Israel, Sardinia and Sicily, the gateway will offer close to 140,000 more seats throughout the peak period.

Commenting on Milan Bergamo Airport’s summer developments, Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation, SACBO, says: “One of our top priorities is to ensure our passengers have a broad choice of destinations, as well as a variety of airlines available to them. It’s tremendous to be able to confirm not only the return of our extremely popular routes but also the addition of new tourist resorts which will play a part in another year of development and growth at Milan Bergamo.”
