Alaska Airlines-Air Pacific sign partnership deal

Alaska Airlines said it’s signed a codeshare and mileage plan partnership deal with Air Pacific, an international airline based in Fiji.

Air Pacific flies to Honolulu, Los Angeles, and Vancouver, British Columbia, in the U.S. and Canada.

As part of the codeshare deal, passengers from Fiji can get boarding passes on Alaska Airlines and have their bags checked to their final destination. Air Pacific operates six Boeing 747 flights to Los Angeles every week.

The deal also allows Alaska Airlines’ mileage plan members to earn and redeem miles on Air Pacific flights.

“This relationship gives frequent fliers more travel options to exotic and unique destinations, and offers easier connections for customers traveling between the United States, Canada and Fiji,” said Steve Jarvis, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of marketing, sales and customer experience. Alaska Airlines is a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group Inc. of Seattle.
