NEW DELHI: Iran is eager to increase cooperation with India in culture and tourism sectors, visiting Iranian Deputy of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Hossein Jafari said here on Friday.
After a meeting with Culture and Tourism Minister Ambika Soni, Mr. Jafari said Iran would organise a cultural week in India in April to showcase the country’s rich culture.
Both Mr. Jafari and Ms. Soni recalled old historical and cultural ties between Iran and India and agreed to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation. Ms. Soni offered to extend training facilities to Iranians who were keen on excelling in the hospitality sector and join food craft institutes.
