Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel is appoints  Shona Pang as Director of Sales & Marketing. Bringing over 10 years of convention sales experience in the hospitality industry to her new position, Pang oversees all sales, marketing and public relations efforts for the newly opened hotel.

Pang’s hospitality career first started in 1999 where she started out as Coordinator, Conventions, Meeting and Banqueting at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur. In 2006, Pang joined The Westin Kuala Lumpur as Manager, Catering & Conventions where she bagged the hotel’s highest revenue award for two consecutive years, earning herself a place in the Starwood Incentive Trip to Bangkok and Paris. Her stellar performance later saw her promoted to the position of Assistant Director, Catering & Conventions in 2009.

Prior to joining Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel, Pang was Director of Conventions and Events at One World Hotel. As the newly appointed Director of Sales & Marketing, Pang will play an instrumental role in leading a dynamic team and mapping out key strategies for sales & marketing of Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel. On her appointment Pang says, ‘I aspire to put my wealth of experience and knowledge into expanding strategic analysis of current and upcoming market trends, to establish the 253-room Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel as the preferred hotel of choice in Petaling Jaya amongst local and global business and leisure travelers’.

Pang and her team aim to interact with the business community and leisure seekers, to highlight Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel’s collective range of facilities and thoughtful amenities.
