The German National Tourist Office UK and Ireland (GNTO) is launching a new consumer online booking facility on its homepage OBIT (Online Booking Information Tool). OBIT enables website visitors to book a complete holiday, short break, accommodation or simply their transport, to Germany.

Adding the booking tool elevates the GNTOโ€™s website to a one-stop shop; it combines inspirational and factual information with this easy and convenient means of booking accommodation, flights, rail travel and car hire. Partners include Deutsche Bahn, Skyscanner, Interhome and AVIS Car Rental, with more options envisaged for the future.

As 84% of UK trips to Germany are booked online – higher than the total percentage of all UK online travel bookings (81% in total) – www.germany.travel will be the main portal for anyone interested in travel to Germany.

โ€œOBIT is an exciting development for travel destination Deutschlandโ€ says Beatrix Haun, GNTOโ€™s Director UK & Ireland, โ€œIt enables us to meet travellersโ€™ needs in a digital world and provide all the information they need from one sourceโ€. OBIT goes live from 9th October
2017.
