Plenty of great Bhutanese food and wine attracting more than 100 travel agents, tour operators, and journalists set the scene tonight for a full house at the Mission for the Kingdom of Bhutan to the United Nations in New York.

The director of the Tourism Council of Bhutan along with her director of marketing, Damcho Rinzin, extended the view of the Royal Government of Bhutan that adhered strongly to a policy of high value, low impact/volume tourism which serves the purpose of creating an image of exclusivity and high yield for Bhutan.

Bhutan is known as an exclusive travel destination based on Gross National Happiness (GNH) Values.

The happiest person on Tuesday night was the head of PATA New York Chapter Simone Bassous. She was the lucky winner of a 5-day vacation for two to Bhutan.
