Billy Beane, inspiration for Moneyball, will present the opening keynote address at the Global Tourism Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Former professional player promoted to general manager game-changer, Billy Beane of the Oakland Athletics is known for introducing innovative philosophies that helped revolutionize major league baseball.

Beane’s approach involved using analytics to identify undervalued assets and study how to transform them into competitive advantages. His proven philosophy became adopted by sports executives and CEOs in organizations nationwide, and his success ultimately inspired the best-selling book and Oscar-nominated film, Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt.

On a greater scale, Beane’s fundamentals can be applied to a number of industries, which is what his presentation will address at the Global Tourism Summit. Beane’s keynote is set to open the summit on September 19, at 9:00 a.m., and will establish how sustainability in business can be achieved through creativity, innovation, technology and being open to breaking free of longstanding norms.

Attendees can enjoy Beane’s keynote presentation by registering to attend the Global Tourism Summit online at www.globaltourismsummithawaii.com
