Lufthansa beefs up European winter schedule

Lufthansa has expanded its European network and added three Italian destinations for the winter season 2017/18. There are in total 7 new destinations to be reached from the end of October: Pamplona (Spain), Genoa, Bari, and Catania can be reached from Frankfurt, and from Munich, travelers can head to Nantes (France), Glasgow (Scotland), and Santiago de Compostela (Spain).

Pamplona is for the first time, part of Lufthansa’s network. The operation towards the Spanish city starts from November 6, 2017 onwards, with 4 weekly flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Also back on the schedule are the Lufthansa routes to the Italian cities of Genoa (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays), Bari (Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays), and Catania (Wednesdays and Sundays). Flights will depart from October 29 and will be added to those already operating from Munich.

In response to the strong demand, this winter, Lufthansa will also fly to Nantes, Glasgow, and Santiago de Compostela from Monaco for the first time. For the French destination, a daily flight is scheduled, while 4 flights a week are scheduled to the Scottish city (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday). There will be one link per week (Sunday) to Santiago de Compostela.
