At least 10 tourists have been injured by steam coming from a phreatic volcano eruption in the Dieng volcano area of Indonesia’s Central Java province, a spokesman for the national disaster management agency Sutopo Purwo Nugroho told the news agencies.

The volcano spewed ash by up to 50 meters into the air and emitted cold lava, the head of National Volcanology Agency Kasbani told the agency. “The tourists were already in the area of 15 meters from the Seleri crater today [Sunday] when the eruption occurred,” he said.
