Celebrating the arrival of its latest new airline partner, Cologne Bonn Airport launched a direct service to London Southend on 1 May with Stobart Air, operated by Flybe.

Immediately gaining a 7% share of flights and seats across all routes served to the UK, the addition of Flybeโ€™s six times weekly service means the German airport now offers over 16,000 weekly seats to London.

Commenting on the new route development, Ulrich Stiller, Director Marketing & Sales, Cologne Bonn Airport, said: โ€œPassengers travelling from Cologne Bonn to London now have another airport to choose from. We are very pleased that London Southend joins London Stansted and London Heathrow.โ€
