Hefei, formerly known as Hofei, Luzhou, or Luchow, is the capital and largest city of Anhui Province in Eastern China. A prefecture-level city, it is the political, economic, and cultural center of Anhui.

According to Flight Radar data the plane turned around over Laos airspace heading back along the Thai border to Cambodian airspace.

The aircraft is an Airbus 320-214 with the registration number XU-706 maintaining 15,000 and 650 km / h speed.

A reason for the emergency is not known. Sky Angkor Airlines Inc., operating as Skywings Asia Airlines, is an airline based in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Its main hub is at Siem Reap International Airport.

UPDATE: The aircraft landed safely in Siem Reap 1 hour 30 minutes after it left.
