A plane crashed due to lack of fuel at around 10:15pm local time in Cerro Gordo in the municipality of La Union in Colombia approaching Medellin airport
A plane carrying the Brazilian football team Chapecoense, finalist of the Copa Sudamericana, crashed during approach in Medellin, Colombia.
It is still unknown if there are fatalities.
The administration of Jose Maria Cordoba Airport Medellin, and the mayor Federico Gutiérrez confirmed the crash
“The CP2933 registered aircraft carrying the team Chapecoense.
There are survivors out of the 72 passengers plus crew on board.
Emergency crews are rushing to the scene.
