UNWTO & WTM Ministersโ€™ Summitโ€ฆ

Today may have been the final day, but we saved the best for last with the UNWTO & WTM Ministersโ€™ Summit taking place this morning.

Hot on the heels of Trumpโ€™s election victory, more than 100 tourism ministers and leading tourism experts from around the world came together to discuss tourism security, and how to better promote safe and seamless travel.

Following the session, we spoke to Taleb D. Rifai, Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for an overview of the summit.

Travel Techโ€ฆ

Travel technology has once again been an important part of WTM London in 2016, with the UKโ€™s largest travel technology exhibition, The Travel Tech Show at WTM London, taking place alongside the event.

In addition to more than 100 tech exhibitors, the WTM Travel Tech Theatre once again proved very popular on day three.

No session more so than this afternoonโ€™s look at safety and security, and if robots or Artificial Intelligence help make travel and tourism safer in todayโ€™s challenging times.

We caught up with speaker Richard Singer, President of Travelzoo, straight from the stage for a summary.

The impact of Brexitโ€ฆ

What will the impact of Brexit be on the UK travel market and what opportunities may it present? That was the topic of discussion earlier today when Mintelโ€™s Richard Cope provided the audience with an invaluable insight on global travel patterns.

We caught up with Richard following to find out a little more.

A big thank you to all our attendeesโ€ฆ
