Cyprus welcomed 556,000 Russian tourists, the second largest nationality after the Brits.

According to tourist authorities in Russia, Cyprus managed to simplify the visa process and become an alternative destination for Russians, after the closure of Turkey and Egypt.

As a result, an increasing number of hotels in locations like Ayia Napa that closed in late November, will now stay in operation during winter.
