SAN FRANCISCO, CA – San Francisco’s Civic Center and United Nations Plaza have been evacuated while police deal with a man who is understood to be armed with a semi-automatic handgun, according to local media.
All motorists and pedestrians have been forced to leave the area.
Fire officials first reported the incident around 12:25 pm on Twitter.
The suspect has been described as “an adult male,” who was seen holding something that may possibly look like a weapon.
There were no immediate reports of any violence, deaths or injuries.
