Chief Marketing Officer of Extended Stay America resigns

CHARLOTTE, NC – Extended Stay America announced today that it has accepted the resignation of its chief marketing officer.

CHARLOTTE, NC – Extended Stay America announced today that it has accepted the resignation of its chief marketing officer.

CMO Tom Seddon, 48, is leaving to pursue a master’s degree in data science at University of California. He joined the company in April 2012 and was part of taking the company public in November 2013.


The company also announced that Tom Buoy, EVP revenue of management, will join the executive team, reporting directly to Gerry and taking on additional responsibilities for e-commerce and marketing communications. Tom Bardenett, chief operating officer, will be taking on additional responsibility for the sales team.
