SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Enrique Ybarra Valdenebro, President and CEO of City Sightseeing, and Ingrid I Rivera Rocafort, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), announced the arrival of City Sightseeing in Puerto Rico. City Sightseeing, an international tour bus company, will offer transportation services with its open top buses on the Island. Over the course of two years this $2.7 million partnership aims to create approximately 45 new jobs on the Island.

The companyโ€™s โ€œhop-on, hop-offโ€ service will provide travelers an efficient way to explore the Islandโ€™s most popular destinations such as Old San Juan, Isla Verde, Carolina and Condado neighborhoods, as well as any of the 30 offered locations within the metropolitan area. This service allows tourists to hop-on and off the City Sightseeing buses within a 24 hour timeframe, starting at the ticket purchase time. The complete trip lasts for 75 minutes.

โ€œPuerto Rico has plenty to offer to both local and international travelers. Iโ€™m certain that the arrival of City Sightseeing will highlight our commitment to diversify our offerings within the tourism sector and will attract new travelers to our Island,โ€ said Rivera Rocafort. โ€œThis installment will strengthen Puerto Ricoโ€™s tourism industry, as well as the Islandโ€™s economic development.โ€

โ€œWe are thrilled to expand our international presence by partnering with such a key destination in the Caribbean,โ€ said Ybarra Valdenebro. โ€œWe also believe that Puerto Ricoโ€™s potential, combined with our open top bus service will help strengthen its economic development and help increase the employment rate throughout the Island.โ€
