The earthquake was felt all the way in Wellington.

Location of the quake was 66km NE of Gisborne, New Zealand.

The earthquake hit at 1637 UTC time or 4:37 am in the morning in New Zealand.

Since the earthquake was far away from the coast, it’s not expected to cause major damage or injuries.
