Emergency in air: Plane with 359 on board diverted to Las Vegas airport

LAS VEGAS, NV – Virgin Atlantic Flight 44 with 359 passengers on board was diverted back to Las Vegas after an emergency in air, McCarran Airport officials say.

LAS VEGAS, NV – Virgin Atlantic Flight 44 with 359 passengers on board was diverted back to Las Vegas after an emergency in air, McCarran Airport officials say.

According to the airport officials, after receiving a report of a fire indicator activation, the pilot did a flyover to see if airport ground crews could see flames.


The plane landed safely at McCarran International Airport at 4:45pm.

No injuries were reported by the crew and the passengers.
