KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Malaysia Airlines has turned to its third chief executive in two years, promoting Chief Operating Officer Peter Bellew to Chief Executive Officer of the state-owned carrier, after its former CEO, Christoph Mueller, quit unexpectedly. The appointment took effect July 1st, 2016.
Mr Bellewโs appointment โwill ensure continuity in the execution of the turnaround plan and further progress of the overall restructuring effort,โ Malaysia Airlines said in the statement.
