Equatorial Congo Airlines (ECAir), national carrier of the Republic of Congo, insured a charter Boeing 767 flight for 63 doctors from Havana Cuba, to Ollombo, Republic of Congo.
The Cuban doctors arrived in the Republic of Congo on Wednesday, June 29, aboard the aircraft, Mont Nabemba. They will work at a specialty hospital in the city of Oyo.
Jacqueline Lydia Mikolo, Minister of Health and Population, was present at Oyo Ollombo Airport in Congo to welcome this special group of passengers.
Equatorial Congo Airlines partnered with the Ministry of Health and Population to contribute to sub-regional development initiatives and improvement of health benefits in the Republic of Congo.
This was the first charter flight by ECAir from Cuba to the Republic of Congo, although the company has organized commercial charter flights elsewhere.
