PALMA DE MALLORCA, Spain – RIU Hotels & Resorts opened the Hotel Riu Republica on Saturday, June 4th. This new establishment, with its 5-star rating and all-inclusive 24-hour a day service, overlooks Arena Gorda Beach in Punta Cana and entailed an investment of $140 million. The stunning premises offer all guests the amenities and facilities of the RIU Classic Hotels, but with the added value of the exclusive service for which the adults-only resorts are known which, until now, in the Americas was reserved for RIU Palace hotels.

Riu Republica mainly caters to couples who wish to enjoy romantic accommodations on their vacation, with the utmost comfort and relaxation. Among the services which set this resort apart from others in the Riu Classic range are the welcome glass of cava, premium drinks throughout the hotel, free Wi-Fi in all areas, including the rooms, concierge service, robes in the rooms, a special wine list and romantic dinners on the beach.

Dominican beaches are considered among the most beautiful in the world and Arena Gorda Beach, where the hotel is located, is no exception. Not only can you enjoy its white sands and crystal clear water, it is also the ideal place to practice sports and activities such as windsurfing, kayaking and snorkeling. Just a short distance away, guests can also enjoy little natural paradises such as Saona Island and the Punta Cana Ecological Parka & Reserve which contains a spectacular 5-mile coral reef.
