BOSTON, MA โ€“ For the third year in a row, the Aruba Tourism Authority has signed on as the supporting sponsor for The Boston Globe Travel Show, which will be held at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston on February 20-22. The Aruba Tourism Authority has led the islandโ€™s marketing efforts for more than 50 years, encouraging leisure and business travelers to choose Aruba for their holidays, meetings, incentives, and conventions.

A diverse set of travel exhibitors will be on hand at the show to offer seminars and expert advice relating to the latest travel issues and trends. There will also be live cultural performances, childrenโ€™s activities, culinary demonstrations, and much more. More than 200 exhibitors have reserved space for the 2009 show and remaining booth space is selling quickly. The 2008 Boston Globe Travel Show drew nearly 17,000 attendees and over 250 exhibitors, and garnered more than two million dollars of travel business.

The event is also supported by many other companies that comprise Lead, Contributing and New England Gold and Silver sponsorship positions. Lead sponsors are Vacation Outlet, Huntโ€™s Photo and Video, and Worlds of Discovery. Contributing sponsors are Azores Express and TNT Vacations. New England Gold and Silver sponsors include The Bethel Inn Resort, Cruise Travel Outlet, Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, Mt. Washington Resort, Mt. Washington Valley Accommodations, and Poland Spring Resort.

Each sponsor will have exhibit space on the show floor to showcase its destination or services. Additionally, many of the sponsors will offer cultural presentations featuring the music, arts, or food of their regions. The 2009 Boston Globe Travel Show will be open to the public on Friday, February 20 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm; Saturday, February 21 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm; and on Sunday, February 22 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Tickets are $10 and are available at the show or in advance at www.bostonglobetravelshow.com . Children 18 and under are admitted free of charge.
