Trump: I know who bombed EgyptAir jet

NEW YORK, NY – Presumptive US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has claimed he knows who downed the Egyptian passenger plane Thursday, predicting that more planes will go down due to terrorism.

An EgyptAir Airbus A320 flying from Paris to Cairo crashed into the eastern Mediterranean Sea early on Thursday, with 66 passengers and crew on board.

The Egyptian navy said on Friday it had found the personal belongings of passengers and other debris floating in the sea, 290 kilometers (180 miles) north of the port city of Alexandria in Egypt, and was searching for the plane’s black box flight recorders.

In a quick response on Thursday while investigators were looking into the tragic incident, Trump said that if more planes crashed due to terrorism, it would lead to a global economic โ€œdepressionโ€.

โ€œAnother couple of planes go down, Mika, you’re gonna have a depression worldwide, the likes of which you’ve never seen,” Trump told MSNBC.

“Nobody’s gonna travel, there will be no anything, there will be no communication between countries, and you will have a problem the likes of which you’ve never seen,” the billionaire businessman continued. “That plane didn’t go down because of mechanical failure.”

โ€œAnother plane was blown up and I can practically guarantee who blew it up,” Trump insisted.

The White House said on Thursday night that it didn’t “yet know definitively what caused the disappearance” of the flight.

And, several officials from different US agencies told the Reuters news agency that a US review of satellite imagery has not yet produced any signs of an explosion aboard the Airbus A320.

However, Trump still defended his remarks on Friday about the plane crash. He even failed to offer his condolences to the families of the 66 passengers and crew on board the jet.

“Let me tell you what I’m thinking of, I’m thinking of the future,” Trump said on MSNBC.

“We are being taken advantage of by radical Islamic terrorists and this world is changing,โ€ Trump said, referring to Daesh (ISIL) terrorists, many of whom were trained by the CIA back in 2012 to destabilize the Syrian government.

Now Daesh controls large parts of Syria and Iraq, and has recently started its terrorist activities in some other neighboring countries as well.
