Prince William: “It’s where the stewardship of nature is taken seriously”

The Seychelles Tourism Board has been working hard to ensure that Seychelles remains visible in the world of tourism. The success of this visibility is measured in how relevant the islands remain as a tourism destination, says Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister of Tourism and Culture, after he got a glimpse of the film on EbonyLife TV that will be screened on DSTV Channel 165.

The Seychelles Minister says that he agrees that it’s no wonder it’s on CNN, National Geographic, and Conde Nasts’ list for “World’s Top Beach.” It’s the jewel in the crown of East Africa’s islands and a heavenly holiday haven. Nestled against lush hills, granite boulders, and protected reserves, lies Seychelles, an eco-lover’s paradise visited by many celebrities, including Prince William and Kate Middleton. Join Miss Seychelles 2014, Camila Estico, and Nigerian TV personality, Mimi Onalaja, as they guide viewers through Mahé and La Digue’s beaches, Rum tastings, shopping, nightlife, and eco highlights, in beautiful Seychelles.

EbonyLife TV, a Pan African Entertainment channel, has teamed up with Wakanow, a one-stop travel portal, to produce an upmarket travel show, Destinations Africa, designed for the African traveler, highlighting the continent’s top tourist destinations. The 30-minute, 12-part series airs its Seychelles episode on EbonyLife TV DSTV channel 165 on Saturday, May 14, at 2030; Sunday, May 15, 2130; and Tuesday, May 17, at 2200, Central African Time.

What sets this travel series apart? We explore our own backyard the way the African traveler would experience their ideal vacation. Each episode features a Nigerian personality who meets a local host, and together they explore the country’s top-end attractions, rich history, authentic treasures, culinary delights, and some unexpected gems.

The featured destinations include: Kenya, Seychelles, Mauritius, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, Ghana, The Gambia, Senegal, Ethiopia, Cote d’Ivoire, and Nigeria.

Speaking on the partnership between EbonyLife TV and Wakanow, Mo Abudu, EbonyLife TV CEO, said, “It is an honor to be partnering with an organization who has become the bridge between the traveler and the destination; they are becoming the one-stop travel shop for Africans at home and in the diaspora.”

Wakanow.com is Nigeria’s first and leading online travel company that provides customers with everything they need to research, plan, and purchase a trip locally and globally, including the cheapest available flights, hotel reservations, airport pickups, visa assistance, vacation packages, and many other travel services. The company has since launched a dedicated portal for Africa travel.
