CALGARY, Canada – WestJet is pleased to announce that it has been assigned a ‘Baa2’ senior unsecured issuer rating and a ‘Baa2’ senior unsecured notes rating (“investment grade”) with a stable outlook by Moody’s Investors Services.


“This rating puts us in elite company as one of the few airlines in the world to receive an investment grade credit rating from Moody’s,” said Harry Taylor, WestJet’s Executive Vice-President, Finance and CFO. “The rating reflects our significant liquidity, robust capital structure, and solid business model.”
