LOS ANGELES, CA – To celebrate music legend Prince, AEG Facilities-managed Los Angeles Convention Center will light its West and South Hall Towers purple to honor the music icon. The L.A. LIVE campus will be transformed into a hue of purple as STAPLES Center will be lit in its iconic purple lights tonight as well, as the LA Kings play the San Jose Sharks in tonightโ€™s Game 5 of the first round of Stanley Cup Playoffs.


In addition to numerous GRAMMY Awards appearances, Prince appeared in concert on May 26 & 28, June 3 & 5, 2004 at STAPLES Center and made a special appearance at the Los Angeles Convention Center to present Barbra Streisand with the 2011 MusiCares Person of the Year Award.

On March 28, 2009, Prince performed at 3 separate L.A. LIVE venues in one night, starting at Nokia Theatre (now Microsoft Theater) at 7PM, Conga Room at 9PM and finished the night with a performance at Club Nokia (now The Novo presented by Microsoft) at 12:30AM.

WHEN: Starting tonight (Friday, April 22) at sunset and will be lit purple for the 3 days.
