Michael Quane, travel writer, recently nominated Edsa Shangri-La Manila hotel in the Philippines for the eTN Honest Travel award.

“I am a travel writer who has stayed at many luxury hotels around the world, and my experience at the Shangri-La Edsa was the most memorable,” said Michael.

What’s so unique about the Shangri-La is that every employee seems to love his or her job, and this comes through in the extraordinary service they provide to every guest. From the greeting at the door, to the check-in experience, to the restaurants and the spa, everyone at the Shangri-La Edsa makes their guests feel welcomed and important.

“The chef of their Italian Restaurant even came to our table to explain how he created the dishes we loved,” Michael said.

eTN publisher Juergen T. Steinmetz said, “eTurboNews is pleased to welcome Shangri-La Edsa Manila hotel to The List of those who have been named recipients of the eTN Honest Travel Award.”

General Manager of the Edsa Shangri-La, Amit Oberoi, said: “The team at Edsa Shangri-La are naturally committed to making people happy. It is in their nature, as Filipinos, to be hospitable, and hence the service is very personal. It warms our hearts every time our efforts are appreciated. It means we are doing our job, and we are heading in the right direction.”

The eTN Honest Travel Award is not about rating how “luxurious” something is. It is more about how much something is appreciated or different. Anyone can nominate a hotel, destination, attraction, airline, a person, a cruise or restaurant based on a best moment or experience. Click here to learn more: www.honesttravelawards.com
