BERLIN, Germany – Airberlin has awarded HanseMerkur Reiseversicherung AG a premium partnership contract to provide insurance services for the next four years. The collaboration is due to start on 1st July 2016. HanseMerkur offers comprehensive, tailored travel insurance cover that airberlin customers will be able to subscribe to when they book their flight.
“With our Premium Partners, our passengers can add appropriate travel insurance, car hire or hotel accommodation for their city break or holiday to their flight booking at the click of a mouse, all from a single source and at preferential terms”, said airberlin Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pichler.

Collaboration with airberlin offers its Premium Partners a variety of brand integration opportunities, including during the booking process, on board airberlin flights and along the entire travel chain. Premium Partner logos can be seen next to the doors on the fuselage of airberlin aircraft, for example, and in the airline’s newsletter.
