GOA, India – Grand Hyatt Goa has taken aboard the dynamic Alejandro J. Leo Cupul as the Director of Spa and Recreation to spearhead the Shamana Spa at the resort.

GOA, India – Grand Hyatt Goa has taken aboard the dynamic Alejandro J. Leo Cupul as the Director of Spa and Recreation to spearhead the Shamana Spa at the resort. Alejandro comes to Grand Hyatt Goa with over 16 years of diverse experience in the spa industry.

Hailing from the land of tequila, Alejandro is originally from Merida, Mexico. After starting his career in 2000, Alejandro has worked with leading international brands like Le Meridien, Rosewood, and Orient Express Hotels.

Prior to joining Grand Hyatt Goa, Alejandro held the responsibility as Corporate Spa Director at Hard Rock Hotels and Casinosin Mexico and Dominican Republic, overlooking a team of 500 employees and developing concepts and new designs. He has also been an expert council for various spa conventions and trade shows in Morocco, US, Spain, and Mexico.

Alejandro started his career after a chance meeting with Michael McCaffrey, a well-known American spa developer and consultant in the US. Alejandroโ€™s passion for the spa industry has since then taken him across the spa and wellness globe. While managing the Kinan Spa of the Maroma Resort, Orient Express group, Alejandro personally overlooked the wellness programs for celebrities like Dolce and Gabbana, Danny Devito, Justin Timberlake, and Mila Kunis.

In his career, Alejandro has been responsible for designing and developing spas and its facilities. Under his able guidance and leadership, many spas have bagged the industryโ€™s most renowned awards.

Alejandro has exciting plans developing Shamana Spa to become the ultimate wellness destination, and has taken the spa industry in Goa and India to new heights.
