SUVA, Fiji – A new tourism package will be launched next week aimed at attracting tourists to Fiji.

Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said this would be done in collaboration with hotel industry properties.

“This is including Fiji Airways as we need the tourists to come back in.

“We have just held discussions with the Foreign Affairs Minister, who has had discussions with his counterparts to ensure that the travel advice is not limited.” He said advisories suggesting that travel to Fiji was not good as most of the tourism properties were open for business.

“Of course, one or two hotels have been damaged and they won’t take bookings but the ones that are open will. The beaches are clean, safe and people are still here to provide that Fijian hospitality.”
