There are no reports of injuries after a Megabus caught on fire in Lake Forest Sunday afternoon. The city of Lake Forest is located about 30 minutes North of Chicago, Illinois.
It happened on southbound Highway 41 around 12:30 p.m., police said.
All the passengers got off the bus safely and one passenger was assessed and treated on scene for asthma-like symptoms.
Lucas Peterson, who writes as โThe Frugal Travelerโ for the New York Times, tweeted that he was on the bus and took pictures of the bus in flames. Peterson tweeted that many passengers lost their luggage in the fire. About an hour after the fire he tweeted that a replacement Megabus arrived.
