(Dispatch News Desk) – Having deep cultural and historical relations, Pakistan and Uzbekistan at a people-to-people level have come up with the “Pak-Uzbek Forum,” reports the Dispatch News Desk news agency.

The Forum was founded by a group of prominent people in Pakistan, including business, academic and artistic communities with the support of an Uzbekistan and Pakistan relationship. The society aims to promote friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan in such fields as business, education, and the arts. It is involved in different activities such as organizing exhibitions, lectures, visits, and joint projects in the field of art and cultural development.

This will be a neutral body steered by the philosophy of friendship, mutual respect, and cultural harmony.

Why is such a Forum needed?

Communicating is connecting, and connection brings true understanding about foreign societies and brings people together.

The Pak-Uzbek Forum will also provide opportunities for showcasing potentials of both countries for improving business and inter-regional dialogue between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, and to share knowledge about business, cultural, and social fabrics between the two friendly countries.

Aims

The Pak-Uzbek Forum will aim to make a genuine contribution to bring Pakistan and Uzbekistan, along with their people and their cultures, languages, and knowledge, to one place, because smooth business activities are difficult to perform without understanding history, culture, society, language, and the rules of one another.

Objectives

Experts believe that people can make a world of difference if they are provided people-to-people contact, and the Pak-Uzbek Forum will play this role to connect Pakistan and Uzbekistan and bring them even closer.

In his message, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, Furqat Sidiqov, explained his appreciation for this initiative and said:

“Uzbekistan has deep historical and cultural relations with Pakistani. Uzbekistan is interested in promoting all [a]round relations with Pakistan in different areas including trade and commerce, agriculture, tourism, and culture.

“We are excited about opening this Forum. I am sure that this Forum will contribute to improve our relations between the two brotherly countries, further str[engthening] and … help[ing] to develop our cultural relations. ”

Eurasian Development Observer and the President of the Pak–Uzbek Forum, Agha Iqrar Haroon, in his message said that Pak-Uzbek Forum would provide a platform to guide and support businessmen, researchers, academia, students, and social organizations of Pakistan and Uzbekistan to understand business rules, laws, procedures, business requirements, culture, history, tourism, mindsets, and the economy of both countries.
