The Bella Vista Hotel Hurghada is a 4-star resort hotel in the Egyptian resort town of Hurghada.

The Bella Vista Hotel Hurghada is a 4-star resort hotel in the Egyptian resort town of Hurghada. Hurghada was one of the last tourism destinations in Egypt proclaimed to be away from terror and considered safe. Experts just last week said, travelers aren’t aware that Hurghada is an amazing alternative to SharmElSheikh.

Direct tourist charter flights are operating to this beach resort city from Europe.

Tonight this resort turns into a target for terror. The good news is this attempt failed. Thanks to good training, excellent hotel security and fast action of Egyptian security forces, authorities were successful in repelling the attack on the Bella Vista Hotel before terrorists were able to get through the front gate. The terrorist were killed in the process.

Gunmen opened fire at the entrance of a hotel used by foreign tourists in the Egyptian Red Sea resort city.

First reports say two tourists from Denmark and Germany were injured.
There was no immediate reports of casualties, except for the gunman being killed by security forces.

The latest assault comes as shortly after Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) claimed responsibility for a Thursday attack on Israeli tourists in Cairo. Last month, IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi called on supporters to target Jews โ€œeverywhere.โ€
