WASHINGTON, DC – Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the leading US airlines, today named Penny Kozakos as Vice President, Communications. Kozakos joins A4A from public relations firm Burson-Marsteller where she is currently Managing Director, overseeing the operations and integration of the firmโs largest global account. She has extensive experience serving as a communications strategist and crisis counselor for a wide range of well-known brands, organizations and business executives.
In her new role, Kozakos will continue to evolve A4Aโs campaigns that support A4A member airlines and expand outreach with national, regional and trade media outlets. Kozakos will also oversee A4Aโs digital media team.
Kozakos will start Jan. 4, 2016, and will report to Jean Medina, A4A Senior Vice President, Communications.

Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller in 1999, Kozakos held several roles with national media outlets including USA Today and NBC News. Kozakos received a Master of Science degree in mass communications from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.
