Airlines for America names new Vice President, Communications

WASHINGTON, DC – Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the leading US airlines, today named Penny Kozakos as Vice President, Communications.

WASHINGTON, DC – Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the leading US airlines, today named Penny Kozakos as Vice President, Communications. Kozakos joins A4A from public relations firm Burson-Marsteller where she is currently Managing Director, overseeing the operations and integration of the firmโ€™s largest global account. She has extensive experience serving as a communications strategist and crisis counselor for a wide range of well-known brands, organizations and business executives.

In her new role, Kozakos will continue to evolve A4Aโ€™s campaigns that support A4A member airlines and expand outreach with national, regional and trade media outlets. Kozakos will also oversee A4Aโ€™s digital media team.

Kozakos will start Jan. 4, 2016, and will report to Jean Medina, A4A Senior Vice President, Communications.

Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller in 1999, Kozakos held several roles with national media outlets including USA Today and NBC News. Kozakos received a Master of Science degree in mass communications from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.
