SYDNEY, Australia – Next month will see Australia’s business events industry take centre stage in Adelaide, South Australia as part of Dreamtime 2015, to promote the country’s world-class business events offering to more than 100 influential international incentive buyers from more than 10 markets.

Dreamtime 2015, will see Tourism Australia and host city partner Adelaide Convention Bureau put the spotlight on the country’s outstanding business event capabilities, unique experiences, stunning urban and natural destinations and the impressive business events infrastructure developments occurring in Australia.

Held biennially, the event connects the Australian business events industry with qualified buyers, providing them the invaluable opportunity to forge relationships and grow business thus helping to further strengthen the AUD $13 billion business events sector. This year’s event also gives Adelaide the opportunity to showcase its unprecedented level of investment in new and redevelopment of existing business and leisure infrastructure to buyers from around the world.

Tourism Australia Managing Director, John O’Sullivan said “Globally, Australia continues to rate highly as a destination for business events, ranking either first or second, as a place offering world-class beauty and natural environments, local cuisine and wine, outstanding business events facilities, quality accommodation and exclusive experiences.

“We know that business events buyers are looking for the wow factor, and those attending Dreamtime 2015 will experience nothing less than the extraordinary, with delegates exploring locations such as Adelaide, the Barossa Valley and even beautiful Kangaroo Island. Quick Facts

Dreamtime involves a five day program, two days of which are spent in the host city where a structure appointment schedule allows buyers and sellers to interact on one day, followed by a city showcase on the second day. The following three days is spent on an educational visit to another Australian destination.

Australia welcomed a total of 631,000 international business event delegates for the year ending December 2014, with a total expenditure of AUD 2.5bn (up 8% on 2013).
