STAMFORD, CT – Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc today announced that it will extend its strong presence in Mexico with the debut of W Punta de Mita, located in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit.

STAMFORD, CT – Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc today announced that it will extend its strong presence in Mexico with the debut of W Punta de Mita, located in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit.

Scheduled to open in 2016, W Punta de Mita will be part of Los Veneros.

“With the opening of W Punta de Mita, Mexico will become be the only country in Latin America to boast two W hotels, demonstrating its continued position as one of the most in-demand travel markets in the world,” said Jorge Giannattasio, Senior Vice-President and Chief of Latin America Operations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

“Starwood is growing at an exciting pace in Latin America, and the W brand is a key player in this growth,” said Victor Vazquez, Vice President of Development and Acquisitions, Starwood Latin America. “With more than 25 million international tourists per year, Mexico continues to be an important and growing market for us, particularly for our luxury hotels.”
