FUKUOKA, Japan – “Fukuoka Welcome Campaign” is collaboratively carried out by the commercial and other facilities in Fukuoka to welcome foreign tourists with special offers and presents.

Since February, 2013, the campaign has been held every year during Chinese New Year, which was the busiest tourist time of the year, but it is going to be held in autumn as the number of foreign tourists has been increasing all year round.

With many shopping and gourmet spots crammed up in a small area, Fukuoka has gained a high reputation as a tourist destination and is attracting an increasing number of tourists.

1. Brochures including information on tax exemption and attractive shopping spots in Fukuoka will be distributed.

Discounts, free gifts and other benefits will be offered to foreign tourists visiting Fukuoka during the campaign period.
