The Top Resa Tourism Trade Fair of France was an opportunity for Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsibility for Tourism and Culture, to meet the press in what he describes as and “Island Style Dialogue with the Press.”

In a series of extensive press interviews, the Seychelles Minister gave an expose of tourism in the Seychelles. The state of affairs with tourism arrival figures now on a year-to-date basis is touching an increase of 20%. Also points discussed were the existing public-private sector partnership that exists in tourism, the recent announced moratorium in construction of large hotels, the carrying capacity of the islands being carried out, and the recently-launched recognition park for tourism private sector personalities, among others.

Together with his Vanilla Islands colleagues, the Seychelles Minister also met press on regional cooperation and the successes of the Vanilla Islands grouping today recording a marked increase into the three-island combinations.

Apart from television and radio interviews, Minister St.Ange also met with Le Monde Journalist, and the reporter for ETATS, and Le Magazine de L’Afrique, among many others.
