WASHINGTON, DC – The Washington Homeland Security Roundtable (WHSR) today announced the creation of the 2015 Border Patrol Industry Academy. The Border Patrol Industry Academy is an unprecedented, in-depth, one year program designed to strengthen Industry collaboration and knowledge of the Border Security mission.

U.S. Border Patrol Chief Michael Fisher will address the initial meeting of the Industry Academy. As part of this dialogue, USBP Senior Leadership will participate in several discussions over the two day period focusing on major strategic initiatives, including: Southern Border & Approaches Campaign, Biometrics, Enforcement Technology, Geospatial Intelligence, Special Operations & Mobility, Operational Requirements and Manpower Requirements Determinations.

Discussions will also cover major priorities within the Law Enforcement Operations, Strategic Planning and Analysis and Mission Readiness Operations Directorates.

“Border security is not just relegated to those in uniform. Industry leaders play a pivotal role in keeping America safe and her citizens secure.”

The Border Patrol Industry Academy is reserved for 50 Industry Senior Executives at the level of VP (or commensurate title) and above. The goal is to start the program with Executives who maintain a broad organizational authority and responsibility, can share comprehensive Industry knowledge and are able to disseminate Border Security information back across their organization. The one year program is organized such that USBP knowledge and understanding is built with each successive quarterly session.

“WHSR has a long standing relationship with Chief Fisher and Senior Staff at the U.S. Border Patrol. We are thrilled to be able to provide the first-ever Federal and DHS Law Enforcement Industry Academy,” said Kay Olive, WHSR Director.
WHSR is the premier DHS/Industry liaison group, focused on strategic initiatives and in-depth partnerships.
