Zhang Guangzhi, the Vice Governor of Henan Province of the People’s Republic of China, arrived in Seychelles on Sunday evening and was welcomed as he stepped off the plane by Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture. Also at the airport were the Ambassador of China accredited to Seychelles, the Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, and the PS for Culture Benjamine Rose.
As the Vice Governor of Henan Province of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Zhang Guangzhi holds the portfolio for both culture and tourism for Henan Province.
The Department of Culture in the Ministry of Tourism and Culture is expected to sign an MOU of cooperation with representatives of the Henan Province. Discussions will also take place on assistance for the National Conservatoire of Performing Arts (NCPA), as well as expertise assistance for the fungus issue in the National Archives Building, a problem that has existed for well over the last 20 years.
