The 20th Busan International Film Festival

The 20th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) will be held from October 1 to October 10, 2015. 304 films from 75 countries will be screened at the Busan Cinema Center, the main venue for the film festival and theaters across the Haeundae area.

To celebrate the festival’s 20th anniversary, this edition will serve as a valuable reminder of the cinematic history of Asian films by offering the ‘Asian Cinema 100,’ which will rank the top 100 Asian films of all time and ‘the Gala Presentation,’ which will present 6 of the most anticipated and the most recent works from master directors of Asia.

The 11th Busan Fireworks Festival

Under the theme of “Love Begins with a Confession,” the biggest fireworks festival in Asia, the 11th edition of the Busan fireworks festival will take place around Gwangalli Beach from October 23 to 24, 2015.

Fireworks teams from other countries will present more diversified fireworks displays. Niagara Falls fireworks, Color Iguassu Falls fireworks, and the 25-inch ultra-large fireworks, will be sure to captivate people around the world.

G-STAR 2015

The Global Game Exhibition G-STAR 2015 will be held at BEXCO and the Busan Cinema Center from November 12 to 15, 2015.

This year’s G-STAR will feature exciting side events including the Game Industry Job Fair, G-STAR Invest Market, the G-STAR Conference, a global game cultural festival and the Korea Game Awards.

G-STAR 2015 promises to become an ideal marketplace again this year for the world’s game businesses as the newest games are expected to debut through the fair.


Marine Week 2015, a world-class shipbuilding and marine exhibition, will be held at BEXCO from October 20 to 23, 2015.

Marine Week encompasses the port, marine and naval defense industries through its KORMARINE, Sea Port and Naval & Defense exhibitions.

Marine Week this year is expected to become the biggest in its history with the participation of 1,600 companies from 55 countries and 2,400 overseas buyers. Leading Korean and global companies will showcase advanced technologies in shipping, port sectors and crane systems.
