Pioneers of the Seychelles Tourism Industry will be honoured at a special plaque-laying ceremony at the Seychelles Tourism Academy on Saturday 26 September as part of Tourism Week 2015
This year, as part of Tourism Week, the Seychelles Tourism Board will be honouring a first batch of pioneers of Seychelles Tourism who are recognised as having played important roles in the formative years of the industry and who, by their energy, vision and commitment, set the course that we follow today.
These Pioneers of our Seychelles Tourism Industry will be honoured at a special plaque-laying ceremony at the Seychelles Tourism Academy on the 26 September starting at 9 am. “I take this opportunity of inviting you to this important ceremony and to assist in celebrating their contributions to the industry that is now the pillar of the economy” said Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture to the Seychelles Tourism Trade and friends of the island’s tourism industry.
“Recognising those who have helped build our Seychelles is important. At the House of Culture, the National Cultural Centre in Victoria our Musicians today have their “Wall of Fame” and at the Creole Institute we have already unveiled a Bust for Antoine Abel to recognise his work as a poet and also as one of our popular author. This coming Saturday it is the first batch of the Pioneers of our Tourism Industry who will be recognised” Minister St.Ange said.
