Quite a distinction for Frankfurt Airport: The Deutsches Kundeninstitut (DKI) and the renowned German business magazine, Wirtschaftswoche, have singled Frankfurt Airport (FRA) out as “Germany’s Best Airport in 2015.” FRA received top ratings in every category, earning an overall score of “very good.” According to the study, FRA provides the best service, is the most enjoyable airport to spend time in, and also leads all other German airports in terms of flights and destinations offered. DKI also recommends FRA as the best airport for business travelers.
Germany’s 10 largest airports were considered. The testers assessed more than 3,000 questionnaires completed by passengers, in addition to analyzing flight schedules and connections to different cities. Mystery shoppers also checked out the retail offerings and services available at the airport.
The accolade as “Germany’s Best Airport in 2015” impressively confirms the success of Fraport’s “Great to have you here!” service program, which the airport manager is implementing to steadily improve the customer experience at Germany’s leading aviation hub. Examples include relaxation zones, art projects, information in various languages, and free 24-hour Wi-Fi in the passenger terminals.
