Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, early on Monday morning welcomed Roy Kinnear, the CEO of Air Seychelles, to the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Offices at ESPACE Building. The meeting that was also attended by Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Tourism Board; Anne Lafortune, the PS for Tourism; Nathalie Didon, the Deputy CEO of the Tourism Board; and Rosemarie Hoareau, the Director of Marketing of the Tourism Board was an opportunity for the Ministry of Tourism and its Tourism Board to discuss โ€œBrand Seychellesโ€ and avenues of cooperation between the two entities. CEO Roy Kinnear was accompanied at the meeting by Air Seychelles Marketing Executives Brigitte Esparon and Valerie Lebon.

The meeting was the opportunity for a review in strategy for the coming Milan Expo where Air Seychelles/Etihad and the Tourism Board would be working side by side to fly the Seychelles flag. The official opening of the new Seychelles Tourism Board Offices in Johannesburg, South Africa, was discussed, as well as joint activities at the coming Top Resa Tourism Trade Fair in Paris. Discussions also centered on intensifying marketing activities in India and how to relook at China.

Cultural events were also discussed, as well as the signature of an MOU for cooperation between Air Seychelles and the Tourism Board for next year. Both Minister St.Ange and Mr. Kinnear said after the meeting that this meeting was needed and both agreed with CEO Sherin Naiken that the need to organize such meetings on a regular basis was essential for better cooperation on moving Brand Seychelles forward.

Seychelles is a founding member of the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) .
