Ethiopian Airlines, the largest and most profitable airline in Africa, is pleased to announce that the Walias, have chartered a B787 Dreamliner to transport the team with 200 fans to Seychelles and back home from September 4-6, 2015. The Ethiopia Walia Ibex soccer team will meet the Seychelles national football team in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier first round match on September 5.

Currently, Ethiopian provides four flights a week and more options for passengers flying from any part of the world to the Seychelles and vice versa to the cosmopolitan city of the living museum of natural history. Ethiopian arranges special tour package for travelers from all over the world that include air tickets, airport transfers, accommodations, and site seeing. Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, said when Meseret Tekalign, the Ethiopian Airlines Area Manager based in Seychelles called at his ESPACE Offices to confirm that this special charter was coming to Seychelles, that this was a welcomed announcement. “For the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and for the islandsโ€™ Tourism Board, this is sports tourism. Seychelles has always welcomed sports teams and their fans, and the coming Ethiopian delegation will enjoy a great football match, but also they will see how nice Seychelles is as a tourism destination for their future holidays,” said Minister St.Ange.
