OTTAWA, Canada – A dispute between some Ottawa cab drivers and their dispatching company is causing disruptions at the Ottawa International Airport.
The drivers, who contract their dispatch and other services to Coventry Connections, are upset the company wants to raise the fee charged when they pick up fares at the airport. This is part of the reason they are on strike against Coventry — though the drivers do continue to pick up fares.
The “strike” simply means drivers are refusing to pay their dispatch and other fees to Coventry.
Today, however, the dispute is affecting service.
