Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. elected to Hilton Board of Directors

MCLEAN, VA – Hilton Worldwide announced today that Jon M Huntsman, Jr has been appointed to its Board of Directors, effective Aug. 6, 2015, and will serve on the Board’s Compensation Committee.

Jonathan D. Gray, chairman of the board of directors, Hilton Worldwide said, “We are delighted and honored that Jon has agreed to join the Hilton board. His extensive experience in both business and government, especially in Asia, will be invaluable to the company. We look forward to benefiting from his advice and counsel.”

Mr. Huntsman, age 55, has served as chairman of the Atlantic Council, a non-partisan think tank promoting constructive leadership and engagement in international affairs, since January 2014. Mr. Huntsman was a candidate for the Republican nomination for president of the United States in the 2012 presidential election. From 2009 to 2011, he served as U.S. ambassador to China and he served as governor of the state of Utah from 2005 to 2009. Mr. Huntsman’s public service also includes appointments as U.S. ambassador to Singapore and deputy U.S. trade representative. He also serves as a director of Ford Motor Company, Caterpillar, Inc. and Chevron Corporation.
