In 1946 Prince Alfonso Hohenlohe acquired the Finca Santa Margarita, a 180,000 m² of land with olive trees and grapevines, and turned it into a private residence. In order to accommodate his large family and many guests at the same time, the house was extended. To him luxury meant “a blend of privacy and gardens”. Over the years, his vision took shape in the Marbella Club Hotel and the estate became a hotspot for international celebrities and high society. What was once a club is today’s Marbella Club Golf Resort and Spa, with 37 rooms, 78 suites and 14 Andalusian syle villas – one of the Leading Hotels of the World. A new addition is the majestic Villa del Mar. The 2,500 square meter villa is the fanciest and most exclusive property what is currently found on the sun-drenched coast of Marbella.

Located on the Southern Spanish Costa del Sol, on the heart of the ‘Golden Mile’ only 5 minutes to Old Town Marbella and Puerto Banús, the Marbella Club Golf Resort & Spa enjoys 325 days of sunshine and it is open all year round.

In addition to its stunning accommodations and grounds, the Marbella Club also offers guests a wide variety of amenities and activities including two outdoor heated swimming pools, seasonal water sports, fitness centre, 10 tennis and 4 paddle courts at sister hotel, Puente Romano (only a 5-10 minute beach walk away), Kids’ Club by Minimec, shopping gallery, equestrian centre, Dave-Thomas designed 18-hole golf course within the hills of Benahavis, Thalasso Spa, an 800 square metre (8.611 sq. ft.) state-of-the-art facility with dynamic indoor sea water pool, steam baths and saunas, a solarium and 12 treatment rooms and more.

The hotel also features six bars and restaurants including the famous Beach Club Buffet, legendary Grill Restaurant and avant-garde MC Café.

Distance from Malaga with its international airport is 35 minutes by car. Even destinations like Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Ronda and Gibraltar are easy to reach.

Marbella Club is participant of loop 2016.
